Virtual Discussions on Weathering COVID-19
In Partnership with Community Catalyst
In the spring of 2020, Katal Center for Equity, Health, and Justice, Community Catalyst, and thought partners came together to discuss some of the challenges that communities we support and work with were and are currently still facing. COVID-19 is not operating in silos, and like many times before, this is the time to support each other and mobilize around this crisis. COVID-19 has exacerbated inequities that we already knew existed, and systems can help vulnerable populations.
During these calls, we invited people to share how COVID-19 has impacted their environment and discuss some of the immediate changes that are taking place in response to COVID-19. Separately, we created a space to share resources like public statements, sign-on letters, and engagement tools to support each other during these uncertain times. Simply put, we invited people to use these calls and this platform as a place to step back and reflect, vent, learn, and share.
