In Case You Missed It: Katal on “New Thinking” Podcast

Ending cash bail and closing jails are tightly connected—fewer people detained awaiting trial makes it easier to shutter the institutions holding them. On the latest episode of the Center for Court Innovation’s New Thinking Podcast, Katal’s gabriel sayegh discusses organizing both fights in New York; NYS’s sweeping reforms to bail: how they came about, the challenge of making them work, why they’re so significant; and more!
